To find out something is to learn about it or to discover it. For example, "I don't know where the nearest bank is, but I'll find out." Or, "We were planning a surprise party for Cynthia but she found out."We use this a lot in business. We have to find out how much things will cost, who can provide the services we need, etc.
Let me know means tell me when you have the information. For example "When I have the exact dates for the conference, I'll let you know." Or, "Could you let me know when Bob comes back from lunch?"
