Bloomberg Innovators TV Series

Given that everyone is always talking about "innovation, " it might be interesting to start a conversation here about what that actually means. I have to admit I'm not really sure, especially since whenever a word is very fashionable, the meaning of it may start to get lost. Looking around the web, I found this program you might like to check out:

The main question is, what does innovation mean to you?

  1. For me, innovation, actually, means be prepared and moving to the changes. In fact, everyone or every company talks about innovation and, sometimes, it refers in terms of technology but I think innovation is more than an action, It's an attitude...

I know my opinion seems very normal and around the common definition but the details are importans because I just want to say that if everyone is innovating we are at the same point again. So the real meaning for me is how people are understanding the changes. Probably we need another word--- what about reinvented!!!

I'm not really sure about that I'm writting but It's just what my mind says without thinking on that before and what my level of English lets me explain!!! :)

    Why not... ?

  3. Now I've learned not to post without my glasses... I think you have some good points here, especially with regard to innovation having something to do with attitude. For me also, the details are important, and I think that it's often the case that the most innovative thing is a reinvention or an addition to something which already exists...

Thanks so much for starting the conversation!

  4. What about thinking about innovation as a new start point of reorganization?
Many people say that an innovation must change to a certain level the way we're living.
    Is it so sure?
There's a very important psychological theory that says that every organizations are to die.
Maybe innovation is that inflexion point that allows us to reorganize the way we're living.
Many philosophers think as the bible says "nothing new under the sun".
Innovation can be a way to challenge our concepts to know if they're really strong enough to contain any changes in our ways of living life...

    Maybe...
