Walk the talk

My phrasal verb for today is walk the talk, which means to do what you say, or to have coherence between your speech and your actions. We use this a lot in business. We think it's important for people and companies to walk the talk. What do you think?

  1. At the end of the day, your acts do show what you really believe. Unless you walk the talk, you will not engage people.

For me, a related sentence would be "predica con el ejemplo"... but sometimes people perform the old "haz lo que yo diga y no lo que yo haga".

    Good subject here, Valerie! :-)

  2. Thanks, David! Lately I've also been thinking about the concept of "talk the walk." This would involve being truly candid about what we really do...
